Border guards of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation were under fire on the night of September 12 to 13 in Gegharkunik, Armenia.

Photos capturing the scene were released online.

The personnel was not injured. However, the equipment and the building where the military was stationed were damaged.

The photo captures a car marked “FSB RF” and the premises where the barracks were located.

As previously reported, fighting took place in the border areas of Azerbaijan and Armenia on the night of September 12 to 13.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan is accusing the Armenian side of preparing and implementing sabotage activities in the Dashkasan, Kelbajar, and Lachin districts.

According to the information coming from the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, the Armenians mined the supply routes of the Azerbaijani army. Armenia is also accused of shelling the Azerbaijani forces located in the direction of the settlements of Basarkecher, Istis, Garakilsa, and Horus with mortars.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia claimed that Azerbaijan was firing large-caliber weapons at the positions near the cities of Goris, Sotk, and Jemruk. The Armenians accused the Azerbaijanis of using the attack drones.

Yerevan also claims loss of manpower and destruction.

New strikes

On the night of September 14, shelling resumed on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

According to the Armenian side, Azerbaijan used attack drones, artillery, mortars, and large-caliber small arms. Offensive actions were also launched in the direction of Jermuk and the village of Verin Shorzha near Lake Sevan.

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan accused Armenia of shelling with mortars and artillery weapons. According to the agency, their positions in the Kelbazhar and Lachyn districts are still under fire.
