Russian facilities in the city of Oryol were attacked overnight on November 13 by unidentified strike weapons.
Local social media reported explosions and fires across the city. The governor of the Oryol region, Andrey Klychkov, said the attack was allegedly carried out by drones.
According to Klychkov, several aerial targets were intercepted by Russian air defenses, and some debris fell in residential areas.
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that 130 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight, including seven over the Oryol region.
The head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, said in the Telegram group Nikolayevsky Vanek that Ukrainian Flamingo missiles were used to strike targets in Oryol.
“The Oryol in the swamps (Russia – ed.) didn’t sleep either — it tried to fight off our Flamingo missiles that carried a rather amusing message,” Kim shared.
He also posted a photo showing preparations for the missile’s launch, featuring the symbol of his Telegram group.
Previously, Ukrainian company FirePoint released a video of Flamingo missile tests and combat launches, along with details of its specifications.
The Flamingo is a Ukrainian long-range cruise missile with a declared range of up to 3,000 kilometers and a warhead weighing about one ton.
The missile cruises at a speed of 850–950 km/h and uses a combined guidance system with satellite and inertial navigation.
According to FirePoint, the Flamingo can be readied for launch within 20–40 minutes.
