Russian troops attacked a bus with civilians using a drone in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, stated this.
The bus was attacked near the city of Marhanets in the Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region. At the time of the strike, around 35 people were on board.
As a result of the attack, nine people were killed, and the injured are receiving medical assistance.
The bus attacked by Russian troops was used to transport workers from a local enterprise and regularly carried people to and from work.
It is worth noting that the city of Marhanets is located near Nikopol and the Russian-occupied territory on the other side of the Dnipro River.
Russian positions are located just 23 km from the city, and similar attacks from their side take place regularly.
In addition, the city is facing artillery shelling from Russian forces, which is resulting in new civilian casualties. During the artillery strikes on the city on February 14 and 17, 2025, there were no fatalities among the population. However, four people were injured.
The shelling was carried out using both gun and rocket artillery, including the Grad system.
It is important to note that the Russians constantly execute attacks on the civilian population in Ukraine, disregarding the Fourth Geneva Convention, as well as the Additional Protocol of 1977, which prohibits indiscriminate attacks and attacks on civilian facilities.
Previously, Russian troops attacked a vehicle of the Proliska humanitarian evacuation mission with FPV drones during the evacuation of civilians from the village of Zorya near Kostyantynivka.
The Russian military committed another war crime — this time during the declared “Easter Truce.”
