The Russian troops received the first Magistr-SV anti-aircraft weapons mobile command center.

According to the sources of the Russian TASS news agency, the Magistr-SV mobile command centers are already being mass-produced.

The Magistr-SV was developed by the Russian JSC “Scientific and Production Enterprise “Rubin,” which is part of the holding “Roselectronica” corporation “Rostec.”

The system is designed for reconnaissance of airspace using external and built-in sources, as well as for coordination of air combat.

“The Magistr-SV mobile reconnaissance and command center for tactical air defense systems is mass-produced; the first batch of vehicles has already been transferred to the customer,” informs the agency citing its sources.

The system is a unified module on the BMP-3 chassis, equipped with external and built-in reconnaissance and coordination systems for air defense.

It is developed on the basis of the Barnaul-T mobile reconnaissance and command center, taking into account its operational experience, and can be integrated into the system of all air defense systems in service with the Russian army, including promising ones.

The unified module includes: an optical-electronic station, a remote optical-electronic monitoring device, a small radar, and a radio intelligence station.

To provide such technical capabilities, developers needed to create a database of the optical characteristics of various air targets and features of natural interference radiation.

The small radar detector combines the capabilities of the survey radar and the high accuracy of measuring coordinates inherent in radar tracking systems.

“The system significantly increases the capabilities of military air defense in the fight against standoff weapons and multi-purpose drones,” the developers say.
