The Russian Aerospace Forces received the third batch of three Su-34 aircraft this year.
This was reported by the Rostec corporation.
The planes took off from the factory airfield of the JSC Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association Plant, a United Aircraft Corporation.
In total, the Russian Aerospace Forces has received three aircraft as part of the third delivery of this type of aircraft, which may indicate an increase in production rates.
In total, since the beginning of 2024, according to OSINT experts, the Russian Aerospace Forces has received 7 newly built Su-34 aircraft, including this batch.
The transfer of the 3rd batch took place 2 months after the second batch, which Rostec announced in June 2024.
Due to the heavy losses of Su-34 aircraft in the war against Ukraine, UAC CEO Yuriy Slyusar said that the plant was seeking to increase production, as all the corporation’s plants involved in the fulfillment of the state defense order did not reduce production rates.
Prior to this transfer, the plant’s capacity allowed for the transfer of two aircraft of this type once a quarter, which partially replaces the lost aircraft actively used by the enemy.
It should be noted that prior to delivery, the aircraft undergo a full cycle of factory tests to confirm flight performance and system reliability.
In addition to increasing the production of Su-34 aircraft, the company also expects to accelerate the production of Su-35 and Su-57 fighters.
Their production is carried out at the Irkutsk Aviation Plant in Irkutsk, which is also part of UAC.
At the beginning of 2024, representatives of the plant reported a high degree of workload.
According to them, the production of Su-35S and Su-57 aircraft is scheduled to continue until 2028, including the possibility of extending production contracts.
