The Security Service of Ukraine detained a Russian agent in Odesa. He was scouting Ukrainian anti-ship systems’ positions.

Counter-intelligence officers prevented invaders’ attempts to determine the location and movement of anti-ship and air defense systems in the Black Sea regions of Ukraine.

Russia planned to use the obtained coordinates for a series of missile strikes in the south.

In particular, Russian special services are interested in Harpoon anti-ship missiles.

According to the investigation, the traitor was recruited by a representative of Russia’s special services to carry out subversive activities in Odesa.

To communicate with each other, they used a specially created anonymous channel in the Telegram social network.

The agent received tasks and reported on their fulfillment in this network.

The traitor had to transfer pictures and electronic maps with geolocation marks of Ukrainian military positions.

Another task facing the traitor was to create an extensive spy network for intelligence activities in the south.

The Security Services found on the detainee a mobile terminal with evidence of illegal activity, including secret correspondence with the invaders during the investigation.

So far, SSU investigators have informed him of the suspicion of committing a crime.

The court ordered to imprison the perpetrator.
