Russian forces have once again managed to break into the city of Kupiansk in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.

The location of the enemy was reported by OSINT analyst Bielitz on his page on X.

The footage shows the elimination of a Russian serviceman on the northern outskirts of the city.

The Russian military personnel were engaged by soldiers of the 2nd Battalion of the 101st Guard Brigade responsible for the protection of the General Staff.

Russian forces have also been observed in areas that the OSINT analyst did not specify, which may indicate that the Russians control territory north of the city.

In early January, troops of the 2nd Khartia Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, took control of the Kupiansk City Council building.

At the time, officials said that the Khartia Corps’ search-and-strike force and the Kupiansk Tactical Group were finalizing clearing operations in the city after it had been successfully relieved during an operation led by the National Guard’s 2nd Khartia Corps.

The search-and-strike task force includes units from the 13th Khartiia Operational Brigade, the 475th Assault Regiment Code 9.2, the 92nd Assault Brigade, the Foreign Legion of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, and the 144th Mechanized Brigade.

Later, in April, the commanders of the 10th Army Corps and the 14th Mechanized Brigade were replaced due to the alleged concealment of the actual situation on the front lines and shortcomings in logistical support for their units.

It is also reported that sustained Russian air and missile strikes on crossings over the Oskil River significantly complicated logistics for the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kupiansk sector.

According to the General Staff of Ukraine, the former leadership of the 14th Mechanized Brigade had been misrepresenting the actual situation on the front lines.

Specifically, the brigade lost a number of positions, while several failures in troop support and logistics were identified. Authorities also found that one of the brigade’s positions had experienced problems with food deliveries and resupply.
