Soldiers of the Attack Drone Company “Ronins” of the 65th Mechanized Brigade destroyed five Russian infantry fighting vehicles in the enemy’s rear in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The press service of the unit reported on this.
The Russian combat vehicles located in the forest plantation were destroyed with the help of FPV drones.
The OSINT community geolocated the attacked positions of Russian troops, which were located almost 17 kilometers from the front line near the temporarily occupied city of Tokmak.
Such distance from the front line may explain the dense positioning of enemy IFVs in open terrain within a sparse tree line.
In addition, the Russian equipment was on the ground without proper camouflage and additional protection.
Moreover, the damage was recorded by a reconnaissance drone that was able to get behind enemy lines, bypassing the army’s air defense.
Militarnyi previously reported that the 68th Oleksa Dovbush Jaeger Brigade inflicted losses on a Russian assault armored group in the Pokrovsk sector.
Artillery systems, a unit of attack UAVs, and soldiers were deployed to fight off the attack.
Several types of Russian infantry fighting vehicles came under attack: BMP-2, BMP-2 675-SB3KDZ, and BMP-3 688M-SB3KDZ.
On September 13, it was reported that the pilots of the SkyForce group from the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade destroyed the Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system using FPV.
The enemy’s surface-to-air missile system was located near the town of Polohy, on the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region, more than 10 kilometers from the front line.
