Drone manufacturer Quantum Systems and the Lithuanian electronics company ADV Defense have signed an agreement for future cooperation.

The agreement lays the foundation for industrial partnership in the Baltic region, focusing on the use of unmanned systems in Lithuania and along the eastern flank.

The memorandum of understanding was signed at the German-Baltic Defense Industry Conference in Vilnius.

The partnership aims to combine German and Lithuanian expertise with technological innovations to create mission-proven unmanned systems and strengthen the defense-industrial base of the region.

The agreement supports Quantum Systems’ long-term strategy of establishing a strong industrial presence on NATO’s eastern flank. Currently, the company is building a large electronics manufacturing facility in Lithuania, which is set to double the production capacity of ADV Defense.

ADV Defense manufactures electronic speed controllers ESC2, range switch BS1, and flight controllers FC2 for drones at its facility.

A key feature of the ESC2 is its ability to support continuous current up to 50 A, allowing the use of powerful motors. This is particularly important for drones that require high acceleration or are carrying heavier payloads.

The range switching function provided by the BS1 offers flexibility and reduces risks associated with interference. The system allows operators to choose from three frequency bands — 433 MHz, 900 MHz, or 2400 MHz — enabling them to tailor operations to specific tasks.

The FC2 flight controller is the central brain of the drone, responsible for control, stability, and real-time flight data processing.

ADV Defense also offers customers rugged FPV drones in various sizes, equipped with Lithuanian electronics.
