Poland will continue to fund the operation of Starlink terminals in Ukraine as part of its ongoing support.
Mykhailo Fedorov, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation, announced this.
According to Fedorov, Polish President Karol Nawrocki signed the relevant law enabling this support.
He emphasized that during wartime, this technology is critically important for keeping hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure, and frontline regions connected. Currently, over 50,000 Starlink terminals are operating in Ukraine, with more than 29,000 of them provided by Polish partners.
The Ukrainian official expressed his gratitude to Krzysztof Gawkowski, Poland’s Minister of Digital Affairs, and the entire Polish government for their solidarity and steadfast support of Ukraine.
In August, the President of Poland vetoed an amendment that would have extended the law on aid to Ukrainians from September 30, 2025, to March 4, 2026. This law had allowed Poland to cover the costs of Starlink services for Ukraine.
Following the veto, Poland’s Minister of Digital Affairs publicly stated that, as a result, the Starlink satellite internet terminals donated to Ukraine by Poland would be shut down. However, the Polish President’s Office later clarified that access to Starlink for Ukraine would not be cut off.
