Poland has provided Ukraine with over 29,000 Starlink terminals as part of its support and will continue to fund their operation.
This was reported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
“Uninterrupted internet is the foundation for the functioning of a digital state. In times of full-scale war, Starlink terminals enable hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure facilities, and frontline regions to stay connected even during the most severe blackouts,” the ministry said.
In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, Poland has transferred more than 29,000 Starlink terminals and continues to financially support their operation in Ukraine.
At the same time, after blocking unregistered terminals used by the Russian military, the invaders began to put pressure on the families of Ukrainian prisoners of war. According to available information, the Russian special services are using blackmail and threats, demanding that Ukrainians officially register new terminals in their names.
The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War emphasizes that for the invaders, Ukrainians are only a ‘disposable resource.’ The enemy is not interested in the fate of people who succumb to blackmail, and the fact of registering equipment for the needs of the invader will remain in digital records as evidence of complicity.
If you receive any offers, demands, or threats regarding the registration of terminals, citizens are urged to immediately contact law enforcement agencies.
