Russia withdraws the last Black Sea Fleet patrol ship from the occupied Crimea.
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said that it had happened in the first half of July 15.
“The last patrol ship of the Russian Black Sea Fleet is leaving our Crimea right now. Remember this day,” said Dmytro Pletenchuk.
Pletenchuk did not specify the name of the Russian warship. The Russian command has not yet publicly announced this.
According to the morning navy report, there are currently no Russian ships in the Black Sea. There are three Russian vessels in the Azov Sea, none of them carrying Kalibr missiles.
In June, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Andrii Yusov, said that Russia had been hiding large ships and Kalibr carriers, but “the hunt should not stop.”
Previously, Dmytro Pletenchuk also said that the Russian Armed Forces were building unified launchers for Kalibr and Oniks missiles.
“Kalibr missiles remain a dangerous weapon with a warhead weighing 450 kg, but the percentage of these missiles being shot down is high. According to the military, the Russians have taken this experience into account and are building unified launch silos for both Kalibr and Oniks,” said Pletenchuk.
Pletenchuk emphasized that the Russian Forces use Kalibr missiles to overload air defenses during combined missile and drone attacks, but “other types of missile weapons now have priority for hitting targets.”
In April, the Ukrainian Navy said that since the start of the full-scale war, the Russian Black Sea Fleet had lost about a third of its ships due to Russian ships having been hit by Ukrainian strikes.
As previously reported, in June, two Russian missile ships were withdrawn from Crimea due to the threat of naval drones.
Shortly before that, a naval drone attacked the Russian facilities in the Sevastopol Bay.
