Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed a R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare system near the border in the Kharkiv region.
The command of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces said that the destruction of the system had left the Russian soldiers without electronic cover.
The 71st Jaeger Brigade chose several FPV drones to destroy the EW system.
Ukrainian drones managed to circumvent the suppression of signals from Russian electronic warfare systems.
As a result of the strikes, the R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare system caught fire and was completely disabled.
It is not unlikely that the Ukrainian military used new models of FPV drones, which received more powerful protection against EW and the ability to fly over long distances.
The R-934B Sinitsa EW system is designed for radio jamming of aviation VHF radio communications, tactical aviation guidance systems, as well as ground-based stationary and mobile radio communication lines.
It is stated that it can jam cellular and trunk networks operating both on fixed frequencies and in the mode of software adjustment of the operating frequency.
The station can operate separately or as part of the Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare weapon system, which is also under Ukrainian attack.
The Russian R-934B was spotted in the temporarily occupied Donbas even before the outbreak of a full-scale war with Russia.
The destruction of such systems will allow Ukrainian aircraft to operate more efficiently.
In 2023, US HIMARS struck the R-934B Sinitsa electronic warfare system.
