On the morning of December 14, 2024, strike drones attacked an oil depot near the city of Oryol, capital of the Oryol region.

The drone attack was officially reported by the governor of the region, Andrey Klychkov.

According to him, the drones struck the Stalnyi Kony production and dispatching station, where large volumes of oil products are stored.

The strike hit one of the tanks, causing a massive fire.

The oil depot itself is located at coordinates 53.041662, 36.131995 in the village of Stalnyi Kony, approximately 110 km from the Ukrainian border.

It is owned by JSC Yugo-Zapad Transnefteprodukt and is an important element of the oil product pipeline to such facilities as Stanovo LPGS, Plavsk BCP, 8N LPGS (Unecha), and Bryansk NP.

The fire was also confirmed by NASA satellites on the FIRMS service, where the first fire was detected at 2:20 am Kyiv time.

Despite the fact that the oil depot was confirmed to have been hit, the Russian Ministry of Defense officially stated that 37 drones had been intercepted by air defense forces.

As of 8 a.m. on December 14, 2024, Kyiv time, according to the governor of the region, Andrey Klychkov, the fire was localized.

It should be noted that this was not the first time the tank farm was attacked: On November 16, 2024, drones attacked the territory of the oil depot.

The strike damaged oil storage tank No. 28, which was a quarter full.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that Rosneft’s oil depot in Bryansk had been hit by drones.

The object attacked by the drones was the Rosneft oil depot, which houses 25 tanks with oil products.

In turn, the official report of the local authorities states that the attack resulted in a fire at the production facility.

According to information from the Ukrainian geo-int project CyberBoroshno, the location of the fire at the oil depot was geolocated at coordinates 53.208897, 34.462425.
