Australian company Electro Optic Systems Holdings Limited (EOS) has announced a new contract for the supply of its R400 remotely piloted combat modules.

The deal is worth $21 million. The customer is a North American buyer who plans to use these systems on light armored vehicles.

The contract provides not only for the supply of the systems themselves, but also for vehicle integration kits, storage services and other related elements necessary for full operation.

The R400s will be delivered in a ground configuration. This means they are designed to engage ground targets, providing armored vehicles with additional fire support capabilities.

The combat modules will be manufactured at the EOS plant in Canberra, Australia. Production is scheduled for 2026-2027.

As a reminder, Ukraine placed two orders for 150 such modules back in April 2023.

And in October 2024, a YPR-765 armored personnel carrier armed with a 40-mm automatic grenade launcher mounted in an EOS R400 module was spotted in the east.
