In recent years, the invaders have adopted the term “Baba-Yaga” to refer to the Ukrainian Nemesis heavy drone.

The developers of the drone told Ukrainska Pravda that Nemesis is capable of flying over 20 kilometers.

“The dimensions of the drone are impressive: the distance between its four engines is more than a meter,” the publication says.

For uninterrupted communication, Nemesis integrated Starlink satellite communication terminals.

The use of Starlink enabled the overcoming of conventional communication limitations and provided a broad spectrum of capabilities.

“When there was a big idea to put Starlink, the radio horizon issue disappeared. The distance between the operator and the drone generally ceased to have any meaning. The operator could control a drone from anywhere on the planet,” the developer said.

Nemesis heavy drone operators are now in Kyiv. The military at the front can only prepare ammunition on the drone and launch it.

From the office in Kyiv, the operator of the Nemesis drone directs it to the point received from the reconnaissance.

“We have an operator sitting in Kyiv in general, in a warm office with a smoothie and drops 3-4 shells in one departure,” the developer says.

The length of the route can be a record for such drones more than 20 kilometers.

At the designation point, the camera drops perpendicular to the ground, and in the dark it is good to detect Russian positions with equipment.

The operator must then press the ammunition drop button, which effectively destroys Russian equipment.

The Russians nicknamed the series of Ukrainian heavy drones, including the Nemesis drone, the name of the mythological creature – “Baba Yaga.”

There is no drone in Ukraine that would be called that. In this word, the Russians outline a whole class of bomber drones, which are produced by different companies, have different technical characteristics, carry different projectiles.

The main merit of Ukrainian bombers on the battlefield was that they drove Russian equipment away from the front line. Tens of kilometers expanded buffer zone, within which tanks or other enemy equipment are not delayed overnight.
