Due to Russia’s attack on Ukraine, the Alliance is collecting data to develop an action plan to strengthen its Eastern borders.
Militarnyi informs about it.
This would regard the constant presence of NATO troops at the Eastern border to fight future Russian aggression.
In addition, Jens Stoltenberg said that the Alliance was “in the midst of a very fundamental transformation”, that will reflect “the long-term consequences” of Putin’s actions.
“What we see now is a new reality, a new normal for European security. Therefore, we have now asked our military commanders to provide options for what we call a reset, a longer-term adaptation of NATO,” Stoltenberg said.
As reported earlier, Ukraine called on NATO member states to provide Ukraine with weapons of Alliance standards as soon as possible.
During his visit to Kyiv, Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, offered Ukraine military assistance in the form of 120 armored vehicles and new anti-vessel systems.
