Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Appoints the First Defence City Resident

Defence City has officially started working – the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has granted the status of the first resident to one of the largest Ukrainian defense technology manufacturers.

The first resident company is SkyFall, a production structure specializing in the production of Vampire and Shrike attack drones and Shahed interceptor drones, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.

These types of UAVs have been used by the Ukrainian Defense Forces for a long time and have demonstrated high efficiency in combat conditions.

Defence City is positioned as a government program to create a favorable environment for scaling up defense production.

The initiative is aimed at attracting investment, developing the Ukrainian defense industry and increasing serial production.

The residents of Defence City receive tax benefits, including income tax exemption, subject to reinvestment in production development.

There are also simplified customs procedures, exemptions from land, property, and environmental taxes, as well as special guarantees for information protection.

The state also provides support for the relocation and increased security of production facilities in case of threats.

As a reminder, Poroshenko recently handed over VAMPIRE bomber drones to the Ukrainian military.
