Invaders lost Pantsir-S1 SAM in the Kherson region

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation lost the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and artillery system in the city of Oleshky on the left bank of the Kherson Region.

Several videos and photos with the destroyed system were published on social media.

The vehicle exploded and engulfed in flames. The video shows a pile of scrap left over from the SAM collapsing on the right side. It is yet unknown what exactly destroyed the system. It could potentially be an AGM-88 HARM anti-radiation missile or a HIMARS’ GMLRS projectile.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Pantsir-S1 air defense system in the western part of Oleshky. You can identify the place due to the presence of a gas station in the frame of the ANP, which is located on Guardiyska Street.

Pantsir-S1 is a Russian land-based self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and artillery system (SAM). Designed for close cover of civilian and military facilities from air attacks.

According to the OSINT project Oryx, the Russians have already lost at least 9 Pantsirs.

It should be recalled that in recent days the Armed Forces have been able to significantly suppress the enemy’s air defense in the Kherson Region. Thanks to this, Bayraktar TB2 UCAVs can be actively used to destroy the invaders’ equipment.
