In the Kyiv region, the Ukrainian servicemen captured a russian Ka-52 attack helicopter.

The helicopter was shot down with a portable anti-aircraft missile system on the first day of the war, on February 24th.

After being hit by a missile, russian pilots had landed the aircraft and left the scene.

The first footage of a damaged russian helicopter was released on February 24th.

The plane stayed at the exact site of the incident throughout the hostilities in the Kyiv region. On April 2nd, soldiers of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had reached the helicopter location.

Liberation of the Kyiv region from the russian occupation forces now allows transporting the captured russian Ka-52 helicopter to another position.
