The Israeli company Rada is promptly updating radar systems in accordance with feedback from the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
This was announced by Ihor Fedirko, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Armorers’ Council, in an interview with Militarnyi.
According to him, the Israeli company is rapidly developing updated software for existing radar stations, and has expanded its lineup from less powerful to more powerful systems in accordance with the needs on the battlefield.
In addition, Fedirko noted that these systems are characterized by high quality workmanship, although their cost is significantly higher than that of Ukrainian counterparts.
The main model used by the Ukrainian military is the ieMHR (Improved Multi-Mission Hemispheric Radar), an all-round radar for detecting air, missile and drone threats. Due to its compact size, the radar is available in two versions: portable and self-propelled.
According to the manufacturer’s specifications:
As of today, Ukraine has already received more than 16 ieMHR radar systems, most of which were donated by volunteer organizations. Back in May 2023, it became known that Israeli RADA ieMHR radars, donated by the Blue/Yellow volunteer organization, had been put on combat duty in Ukraine. At the time, it was reported that Ukraine was to receive 16 such radars.
