Ukrainian defenders used HIMARS to strike a Russian P-18 radar in the south.

Volunteer Pavlo Kashchuk posted a video of the SSU’s 13th Main Directorate of the Military Counterintelligence Department.

SSU counterintelligence officers used a Ukrainian Shark reconnaissance drone to detect Russian radar.

After that, information about the invaders’ location was passed on to the military command responsible for this sector.

After determining the exact coordinates of the deployed Russian modernized P-18 radar, it and the nearby support vehicles were struck by firepower.

The HIMARS rocket system was used to destroy the Russian radar, which, according to the video, fired two GMLRS missiles at the invaders.

In this case, it was probably M30A1 rockets, whose warheads contain thousands of tungsten balls designed to destroy light army vehicles and manpower.

As a result of the attack, Russia’s modernized P-18 radar was damaged and probably at least disabled.

Some of the crew of the radar and the vehicles that were near it were killed or seriously injured.

The video shows the surviving Russian soldiers running away from the radar. All this time, a Ukrainian drone monitored the damage, with the help of which the Ukrainian artillerymen adjusted the HIMARS strike.

It is worth noting that with the help of P-18 and other types of radar, Russians are trying to control the airspace over the temporarily occupied territory and adjacent areas of Ukraine.

Previously, the Ukrainian military in the Donetsk region destroyed the latest Russian 1K148 Yastreb-AV counter-battery radar, which was delivered to the aggressor country’s military in small quantities.
