French drone manufacturer Parrot has unveiled the ANAFI UKR reconnaissance quadcopter, developed in line with the operational requirements of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The drone was presented at the Paris Air Show, according to a report by EDR On-Line.

Parrot ANAFI UKR is designed for short-range reconnaissance missions in both day and night conditions.

The manufacturer says the drone offers strong resistance to electronic warfare and can operate in combat environments without relying on GPS navigation.

When folded, Parrot ANAFI UKR measures 245 x 160 x 116 mm. When deployed, its dimensions are 350 x 665 x 116 mm. The base weight is 959 grams, with a maximum takeoff weight of 1,450 grams.

The standard battery provides up to 38 minutes of flight time at a speed of 6 m/s. The maximum flight range is 23 km at 10 m/s, with a top horizontal speed of 17 m/s and a climb/descent rate of up to 8 m/s.

With the optional XLR battery, the drone’s endurance increases to 50 minutes and its range extends to 40 km.

The quadcopter can withstand wind speeds of up to 15 m/s, operate at altitudes of up to 5,000 meters, and function in temperatures ranging from -35 °C to +50 °C.

The drone is controlled via the ruggedized Parrot SkyController UKR and a commercial-grade tablet.

Optics and communications

Parrot ANAFI UKR carries a dual EO/IR stabilized gimbal with a 35x zoom RGB camera and a FLIR Boson thermal imaging sensor. It can detect human-sized targets at up to 2.2 km in daylight and 173 meters in infrared mode from an altitude of 120 meters.

The drone features a secure dual-radio system (Wi-Fi and 5G) with military-grade frequency-hopping (MARS) and a LoRa backup channel for autonomous return in case of signal loss.

According to a Parrot representative, the base price for Parrot ANAFI UKR starts at €15,000, depending on configuration, integrations, and support options. The system has already entered serial production.
