Ukrainian defense forces used FP-5 Flamingo missiles to attack the explosives manufacturing plant of JSC Promsintez in the city of Chapaevsk, Samara Region.

This was reported by the community CyberBoroshno.

The attack took place on the morning of March 28, 2026. The missile successfully penetrated Russian air defenses and struck the facility.

As noted by the community, videos from local residents confirm the hit and explosion in the production area where explosives are synthesized.

The city itself is located 900 km from Ukraine’s state border. Given that the launches were not carried out from the border area itself, the actual flight distance of the missile exceeds 1,000 km.

Promsintez produces industrial explosives—including ammonal, ammonite, granulite, and TNT blocks.

The company supplies its products to mining and metallurgical companies, as well as to the defense sector for the manufacture of aerial bombs, shells, and missiles.

This is not the first attack on this facility. In April 2025, the Security Service of Ukraine had already attacked Promsintez with drones.

At that time, at least 20 explosions and several fires were recorded at the plant, prompting management to completely halt production operations.

The first demonstration of the missile to journalists took place in August 2025. The photos were published by photojournalist Yefrem Lukatsky on his Facebook page. At the time, he reported: the photo shows the Ukrainian Flamingo missile with a range of over 3,000 km, which has already entered serial production.

Later, talk about the missile began to intensify. The manufacturer—Fire Point—was also revealed. Additionally, it became known that the warhead of the Flamingo weighs 1,150 kg, and its flight range exceeds 3,000 km. The missile is protected against Russian electronic warfare systems, its maximum speed reaches 950 km/h, and its body is made of fiberglass composite.

Subsequently, the Defense Forces began limited use of this weapon against targets on Russian territory.

The first known attack using these missiles took place on August 30, 2025. At that time, an FSB outpost and patrol boats in Crimea near Armiansk were struck.
