First Successful Test of OCTOPUS Interceptors

The first successful tests of OCTOPUS interceptor drones took place recently.

This was announced by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Hvozdar at the “UK-Ukraine: 100 Year Partnership” Forum.

The event was dedicated to the first anniversary of the signing of the Centennial Partnership Agreement between Great Britain and Ukraine.

“Yesterday, the first four units were successfully tested, and these interceptors will soon be delivered to Ukraine. Therefore, I believe that this is also a very good result for the Centennial Partnership Agreement,” she said during a panel discussion on security cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

She also stressed the importance of this project for Ukraine, as it is “the first scaling of a product developed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.”

The OCTOPUS interceptor drones were developed within the framework of the From Army to Manufacturer.

The framework provides for the transfer of standardized military developments to industry.
