Late on the evening of August 26, a powerful explosion rocked the Ryazan-Moscow main oil pipeline in the Ryazan region.
According to sources from the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, who spoke to Militarnyi, this pipeline is a critical fuel supply route to the capital of the aggressor country – Moscow.
Following reports of the explosion circulating on social media in Ryazan, a significant fire broke out along the pipeline.
Within hours, local authorities dispatched emergency response teams to the scene to contain the situation.
According to local residents, law enforcement officers and repair crews are present in the Bozhatkovo village area in the Zheleznodorozhny District of Ryazan, working to eliminate the consequences of the explosion and fire.
Since 2018, this pipeline has been repurposed by the Russian company Transneft for supplying automotive gasoline, supporting the invasion military.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, as a result of the incident, the transportation of petroleum products to Moscow has been halted indefinitely.
