Every Third Air Target Destroyed by UAV Interceptors of Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are increasing the effectiveness of UAV interceptors in their air defense system.

This was stated by Yuriy Cherevashchenko, deputy commander of the unmanned air defense systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to him, the share of interceptors in the destruction of air targets has already reached 30%.

This means that every third air target is eliminated by drones.

This primarily concerns the interception of various types of enemy drones.

The video demonstrates the work of Ukrainian interceptors in combat conditions.

Such systems form an additional echelon of airspace defense.

The use of interceptor drones reduces the load on anti-aircraft missile systems and other air defense components.

This also helps to save expensive anti-aircraft missiles, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

“The unmanned component of air defense is becoming one of the key areas of development for Ukrainian defense. The military continues to scale and improve these solutions,” emphasized Yuriy Cherevashchenko.

As a reminder, recently, air defense forces shot down all 24 cruise missiles that Russia used to attack Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
