On the morning of July 23, attack drones struck the grounds of the NS-Oil refinery in the settlement of Novospasskoye, Russia’s Ulyanovsk region.

The Supernova+ Telegram channel reported the attack, publishing footage of a large fire at the facility.

Later, Ulyanovsk Governor Alexey Russkikh confirmed the drone attack, stating that the UAVs had hit a fuel and energy infrastructure facility.

The Exilenova+ Telegram channel claimed that the strike hit the liquefied gas storage facility of NS-Oil LLC in the settlement.

Videos shared by eyewitnesses show storage tanks burning on the company’s premises after the drone strike, with thick black smoke rising into the sky and visible from various parts of the settlement.

The NS-Oil refinery is part of the Russian PromInvest industrial holding company.

The facility produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and fuel oil, with a total annual processing capacity of up to 600,000 tonnes.

The NS-Oil refinery was previously targeted by Ukrainian strike drones last October.
