Ukrainian technology company DETECT GROUP has unveiled the SeekLevel direction-finding system, designed to be mounted on UAVs to detect enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems.

SeekLevel operates in the 1500–6000 MHz frequency range.
The module is equipped with two antennas, which are used to determine the direction to the signal source. Information on the azimuth and signal strength is displayed directly on the UAV operator’s screen via an OSD (On-Screen Display) interface, allowing the operator to home in on the source during flight.
SeekLevel measures 300 × 150 × 90 mm and weighs 200 grams. The module’s power consumption does not exceed 6 W, while its operating voltage ranges from 12 to 50 V, allowing it to be installed on various unmanned platforms. The sensitivity of the SeekLevel receiver chain is specified at −94 dBm.
The system is compatible with ArduPilot and Betaflight autopilots. The module can be connected and configured via Wi-Fi using a smartphone, while the operator receives data on the direction to the signal source during flight.
The SeekLevel development is part of DETECT GROUP’s proposed concept for changing the approach to countering tactical electronic warfare (EW) systems.
Instead of continuously working around their effects, the company proposes first detecting the emitters by their radio signals and then destroying them.
Currently, UAV resilience to EW is achieved through frequency changes, frequency-hopping techniques, automatic target-acquisition modules, repeaters, fiber-optic control spools, and satellite communications. This approach requires continuous software and hardware upgrades and increases the cost of UAVs.
DETECT GROUP proposes treating counter-EW operations as a separate stage of the combat cycle. First, the area that needs to be cleared of interference would be identified. UAVs equipped with direction finders would then detect and locate the sources of electromagnetic emissions for subsequent engagement.
According to the company’s concept, the results of such crews’ operations should be verified using electronic intelligence (ELINT) assets. Once EW systems have been destroyed in the designated area, conventional UAVs and GNSS-dependent strike systems could be deployed there on a large scale without equipping each platform with expensive EW-countermeasure modules.
DETECT GROUP believes that this approach will make it possible to create so-called ‘clean corridors’ in certain areas of the front, allowing UAVs to operate without interference.
The integration of the SeekLevel module into military units began in 2025. The developer states that the system has already undergone combat testing, and the company has received positive feedback from a number of military units.
