Citizens of Latvia purchased and transferred drones to the soldiers of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The press service of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported on this and published relevant videos and photos.

Ukrainian intelligence officers received various types of drones, including strike drones, which were purchased with donations from concerned Latvians.

The DIU said that the charity fundraising was initiated by a public figure and volunteer Jānis Slaidiņš, Major of the Armed Forces of Latvia. It was he who brought and handed over the drones to Ukrainian intelligence officers.

“Of course, many people in Latvia are concerned about Ukraine. We will continue to help,” Jānis Slaidiņš emphasised.

Andrii Yusov, representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, expressed his gratitude to his friends from Latvia for the systematic assistance to intelligence officers and the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Yusov noted that while large international institutions are “thinking, weighing, hesitating,” Latvia, its people, and its volunteers have been tirelessly helping Ukraine throughout the entire period of Russian aggression.

“We certainly appreciate it. Ukrainians will always remember this,” said the representative of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence.

Last month, operators of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine received a new batch of Ukrainian Sych strike and reconnaissance systems.

Funds in the amount of UAH 25 million to purchase these systems for Ukrainian intelligence officers were raised in a charity fundraiser held by the national telethon “United News.”

Thanks to this, Diana Podolianchuk’s Charitable Foundation purchased and transferred 14 Sych UAVs to the intelligence officers.

The DIU said that this Ukrainian-made drone is equipped with additional protection against electronic warfare and can operate within a radius of up to 150 kilometers in reconnaissance mode and up to 100 kilometers in strike mode.
