During Fighting for Chasiv Yar, Soldiers of the 24th Mechanized Brigade Captured Russian Infantrymen

In the Chasiv Yar area, Ukrainian troops discovered, blocked, and captured at least two Russian infantrymen.

The 24th Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo published the video of the incident.

The brigade’s press service emphasized that the combat operation took place under limited visibility and dense urban development, which had been destroyed as a result of prolonged fighting.

They also added that Russian units in this section of the front are operating in small groups of two to three people, trying to infiltrate between positions.

The enemy’s main tactic remains covert advancement, fortification in shelters, and waiting for reinforcements.

The published footage captured one such group, which Ukrainian troops discovered in the basement of a destroyed building.

After being discovered, the enemy was trapped inside the building, with no way to maneuver or retreat.

The further development of events, as evidenced by the video recording, ended with the capture of Russian servicemen.

“Such episodes reflect the nature of modern combat in urban areas, where reconnaissance, coordination, and control of shelters play a key role,” the 24th Mechanized Brigade emphasized.

Recently, three Russian soldiers surrendered to units of the 155th Mechanized Brigade in the Donetsk region.
