The French, British, Polish, Slovenian, and Estonian militaries joined forces during the large-scale exercise, which aimed to increase the interaction and combat readiness of NATO units.
The maneuvers were conducted against a simulated enemy played by Polish and Slovenian troops. The exercises demonstrated the high dynamics, coordination, and efficiency of units typically responsible for the Alliance’s forward defense.
France deployed VBMR Griffon 6×6 armored personnel carriers from the SCORPION family, which served as digital nodes and provided communication between the group’s various components.
The British deployed Warrior infantry fighting vehicles, which provided tracked mobility, sectional movement, and direct fire support with 30 mm cannons. British soldiers complemented the armored vehicles by using NLAW anti-tank systems, which significantly increased the effectiveness of countering armored targets.
Estonia provided its training grounds and experience in joint operations for the exercise. Since 2017, Tapa has hosted a reinforced NATO Enhanced Forward Presence led by the United Kingdom and regularly joined by French units.
Regular national and multinational exercises, from battlegroup to division level, practice rapid reinforcement procedures, the integration of host nation forces, and movement across the Baltic. This systematic training creates a coherent model of joint preparedness in the region.
BOLD PANZER once again confirmed that NATO’s deterrence on the eastern flank is continuous and scalable and that cooperation between Allies is key to European stability.
