Bayraktar Teknoloji Azerbaijan has presented the KASIRGA loitering munition at the ADEX 2026 defense exhibition in Baku.
Baykar announced this, calling it the first product of its Azerbaijani enterprise.
KASIRGA can take off and land autonomously on various terrain and wheeled vehicles without a runway.
The system has four electric motors and can perform strike or reconnaissance missions. In the reconnaissance configuration, it can return to its base.
KASIRGA can also serve as a communications relay through Bayraktar TB2, AKINCI, or Bayraktar TB3 drones.
This allows the system to be controlled at greater distances and when terrain obstructs the communications link.
According to Azerbaijan’s state news agency AZERTAC, the platform has a maximum takeoff weight of 33 kilograms and a payload capacity of 6 kilograms. The strike configuration carries a 5-kilogram warhead.
The unmanned system is equipped with an electro-optical camera with artificial intelligence capabilities.
It also features resistance to electronic interference, visual positioning, and autonomous flight using data from multiple sensors.
KASIRGA has an operational radius of 60 kilometers for strike missions and 90 kilometers for reconnaissance missions. Its communications range exceeds 80 kilometers.
Militarnyi previously reported on the appearance in Azerbaijan’s arsenal of another Baykar loitering munition, SİVRİSİNEK. It was shown during President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to the city of Nakhchivan.
SİVRİSİNEK is launched from a catapult and uses an internal combustion engine. According to the specifications provided in the article, its versions can carry warheads weighing up to 20 kilograms and have a flight range of 900-1,000 kilometers.
