Strike drones attacked an artillery and missile arsenal in the village of Oktyabrskoye, the Tver oblast.
This was reported by the Russian information resource ASTRA.
According to the resource, a missile and artillery arsenal was attacked, which was used to store a large range of ammunition.
Officially, the facility was the 23rd Arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and is located near the 107th Arsenal, which was attacked a day earlier.
The depot is located 460 km from Ukraine and, compared to the 107th Arsenal (5 sq km), has a smaller area of 2.6 sq km.
According to some OSINT analysts, the 23rd Arsenal could be used by the Russians to store artillery shells coming from North Korea.
The fact of a severe fire at the arsenal at coordinates 56.359201802217775, 31.649876982142203 is also confirmed by NASA satellites used to record forest fires.
An emergency evacuation of the local population from the nearest settlements to the arsenal is currently underway. Due to the large number of people fleeing their homes, traffic on the M-9 ‘Baltic’ highway in Toropets and Nelidovsky districts is temporarily prohibited.
The Stara Toropa railway station is also currently being evacuated due to the threat of damage.
Officially, Russian local authorities have not disclosed real reasons for the evacuation and state that the explosion was caused by falling debris and overturning products on explosive objects.
Information about the massive fire at the arsenal is not yet being communicated to local residents, who are hastily leaving their homes.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that six attack drones attacked ammunition depots in the city of Toropets, the Tver oblast, where the 107th Arsenal was located.
