Ukrainian FPV kamikaze drones have struck Russian strategic aviation assets at airbases in both the Far East and the Far North.

Independent media outlet Astra reported this news, citing reports by local residents.

Residents near the Belaya airbase in Russia’s Irkutsk region posted videos capturing drones attacking the airfield. Multiple explosions can be heard in the footage.

The Olenya airbase in the Murmansk region was also targeted.

Members of the CyberBoroshno open-source intelligence community analyzed the videos and concluded that Russian strategic bombers were hit at Olenya.

Based on visual evidence, at least four Tu-95 bombers were destroyed. The aircraft are routinely used to launch missile strikes on Ukraine.

Additional footage appeared to show an attack on the Belaya airbase. CyberBoroshno analysts confirmed that the second video depicted damage to Russian strategic bombers at that site as well.

The videos suggest the attacks were executed using FPV drones launched from trucks positioned near the airfields.
