One of the most brutal strikes by Russian aviation in recent times took place in the village of Yarova in the Donetsk region.
According to preliminary data, more than 20 civilians were killed in the attack, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported.
The strike was carried out with an air bomb in the center of the settlement at the moment when local residents were receiving their pensions.
Among the dead were elderly people who had come to receive their payments.
This attack was another example of targeted terror against civilians. Russia continues to ignore the norms of international humanitarian law.
The President calls on the international community to respond immediately. In particular, he expects a clear position from the United States, the European Union, and the G20 countries.
This is not the first terrorist act by Russia against Ukrainian civilians.
For example, on September 4, Russia fired a ballistic missile at the humanitarian demining mission, which was working on the outskirts of Chernihiv.
The missile strike was launched at 14:55 near the checkpoint at the entrance to the village of Novoselivka, located on the northern outskirts of the city.
The Ukrainian monitoring resource “monitor” reported the flights of reconnaissance drones near Chernihiv, after which an Iskander-M ballistic missile was launched.
On the same day, Russian troops targeted local residents in Zaporizhzhia with an FPV drone, injuring four civilians.
Local residents filmed the attack, showing that the drone was fully operational and slowly approaching the house. That is, the Russian operator had every opportunity to assess the situation and purposefully used the drone against civilians.
