Today, the Ysabel cargo ship of the Spanish Navy, carrying military aid for Ukraine, arrived at the Polish military port in Gdynia (Baltic Sea coast).
Ukrinform informs about the arrival of the logistics vessel with reference to the Polish media Dziennik.pl.
The Spanish ship is carrying 200 tons of military aid for the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
Polish media report that the information about the arrival at around 9 am (Kyiv time) of the Spanish military logistics ship to the seaport in Gdynia was confirmed by Anna Sech, Spokeswoman of the 3rd Flotilla of the Polish Navy.
The Ysabel cargo ship of the Spanish Navy carrying a cargo of military assistance for Ukraine left Rota Naval Base on April 22.
This is the largest military cargo that Madrid has provided to Kyiv to date.
This batch of military assistance, in addition to weapons and ammunition, also includes 30 trucks and 10 SUVs.
Ysabel (A-06) has been used by the Spanish Military since June 2021.
The transfer of weapons to Ukraine is the vessel’s first mission in foreign operations.
Its length is 149.38 meters, the beam is 21 meters, the depth is seven meters, and the maximum draft is 5.85 meters. Its displacement at full load is 16,361 tons. The ship has two Wärtsila 9L32 engines with 11,258 horsepower on two axles.
The maximum speed is 17 knots with a range of 24 days.
Previously, the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has received Spanish Instalaza C90 grenade launchers.
