The 225th Separate Assault Regiment has set up an underground tactical-operational command center.
The facility is a fully equipped underground complex, built as a modern, protected command post, the regiment’s press service reported.
It was designed based on the regiment’s combat experience, insights from other units, and the practical demands of modern warfare.
The main focus was on the ability to continuously command units even under the threat of precision strikes and constant aerial surveillance.
Underground conditions have been created for operational planning, situation analysis, battle management, and coordination between different forces.
Special attention was given to protecting personnel and organizing rest areas for the command staff.
The regiment emphasizes that moving command posts underground is not a forced measure, but part of a deliberate and well-thought-out strategic approach.
In conditions of total aerial surveillance, underground infrastructure allows for maintaining command control and operational resilience.
“Such solutions have already proven effective in past wars and are now becoming one of the key factors for the survival and combat effectiveness of units on the modern battlefield,” the 225th Separate Assault Regiment noted under the published video.
Recently, fortification of defensive lines in the ‘drone war’ was also under review.
