225th Assault Regiment and 141st Mechanized Brigade Liberate Four Settlements in Dnipropetrovsk Region

Units of the 225th Assault Regiment and the 141st Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Defense Forces cleared and liberated four settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

According to their information, in September, fighters of the 225th Assault Regiment cleared three settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk region, while units of the 141st Mechanized Brigade liberated another.

In total, four settlements were liberated: Sosnivka, Khoroshe, Novoselivka, and Sichneve.

It is noted that after the clearing operations, the positions were handed over to other mechanized units to establish defenses and stabilize the situation.

Despite the liberation of territories, the Russians have not ceased attempts to carry out assault operations in the direction of Novoselivka and Sichneve.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on October 1–2, the enemy attacked 28 times in the areas of the settlements of Novokhatske, Komyshuvakha, Sosnivka, Novovasylivske, Sichneve, and Berezove.

It is worth noting that the crossing of the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region occurred back in August. Since then, the Russians have launched a significant number of assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, most of which were unsuccessful.

Furthermore, the enemy’s attempts to advance deeper into the region also failed, as the Ukrainian defenders did not allow them to consolidate on the captured lines.

At the beginning of September, the Shkval Battalion of the 425th Skelia Separate Assault Regiment conducted a clearance operation in the village of Filiia, located on the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region, freeing it from Russian saboteurs and flag bearers.

Two groups of Ukrainian assault troops entered the settlement and began clearing operations, using small arms and grenades. After the operation was completed, units from adjacent formations moved into Filiia to consolidate their positions.

Engagements with the enemy mostly took place in green areas rather than inside buildings. The Russians constantly attempted to eliminate the Ukrainian assault troops using drones, but only managed to lightly wound one soldier.

During the return from the combat mission, one of the groups reencountered the enemy and, in the course of a brief battle, eliminated one invader.
