The 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade has sent officer patrols to Kupiansk to improve officer decision-making on the front line.

The new commander, Major Volodymyr Fokin, spoke about the first changes in the brigade in a video message.

After the new command arrives, the unit’s officer competence is assessed.

For this purpose, an officer’s meeting was organized, during which officers had the opportunity to demonstrate their professional level for a month.

According to the results of the assessment, some officers showed a high level of training and responsibility. However, some officers were negligent and did not fulfill their duties, which required solutions.

Therefore, officer patrols were formed and sent to Kupiansk.

“This allows us to strengthen the area and gives officers the opportunity to prove themselves in combat conditions,” said Fokin.

Recently, this brigade of the 3rd Army Corps began a large-scale reorganization to strengthen the unit.

Since mid-September, the relatives of the soldiers of the 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade have reported dozens of missing soldiers and demanded explanations.

The military of the repair and restoration battalion claimed that untrained soldiers were sent to combat positions.

Later, in late October, the brigade’s command confirmed for the first time that there had been casualties, but emphasized that these soldiers were subordinate to other units.

After that, the command of the 3rd Army Corps decided to replace the commander of the 125th Heavy Mechanized Brigade.
