11th Army Corps: Invader Forces Do Not Control Chasiv Yar

Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold positions in the town of Chasiv Yar and fight off the invaders’ attacks.

The 11th Army Corps reported that over the course of three days – July 27, 28, and 29 – Russians tried to install their own flags in different parts of the city.

The invaders raised Russian flags in the area of the refractory plant, which has not been under the control of Ukrainian forces for a long time, as well as in the territory of the Northern district temporarily controlled by the enemy.

Prior to the flag installation in the Shevchenko area, the enemy launched artillery strikes at the positions of the Defense Forces.

“Such performances by Russian soldiers were filmed and are probably an element of internal propaganda,” the military said.

Already on July 30, between 5:00 and 9:00 am, the enemy attempted to storm the positions of the Defense Forces in two groups of six soldiers each.

In the afternoon, the occupiers used two armored combat vehicles to support the assault.

However, the attempt failed – the assault group, which included at least three women, was stopped on the eastern outskirts of Chasovyi Yar, in the Pivdennyi district.

Both combat vehicles were destroyed, and the personnel who tried to hide in the surrounding buildings suffered significant losses.

Despite Russian information manipulations, Chasiv Yar remains under the control of the 11th Army Corps.

In particular, the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo continues to hold the city, despite the enemy’s constant attempts to advance.

Recently, the 20th Army Corps also confirmed that the Ukrainian military in the Donetsk region maintains control over the settlements of Voskresenka and Yalta.
