“We have already provided from 0.5 billion to 1 billion euros of our support. Kyiv is not alone. I am pleased to announce that the Netherlands will provide an additional €20 million to the NATO Trust Fund for Ukraine. In total, we provided € 25 million aid to the Ukrainian army in the form of food kits, first aid kits, ambulances, fuel trucks, and anti-drone equipment,” he said.
In addition, Jens Stoltenberg welcomed the decision of the Netherlands to allocate €120 million military aid, one third of which will go to the modernization of Czech T-72 tanks.
As previously reported, together with the United States, the Netherlands will provide 90 modernised and reconditioned Czech tanks.
The total value of this joint project is approximately $90 million.
The first batch of tanks is expected to be delivered to Ukraine as early as December. These tanks will be sent from the Czech defense industry.
