Naval forces of the Yemeni National Resistance have intercepted a vessel allegedly smuggling weapons to Houthi forces in the Red Sea.

The seizure occurred near the international shipping corridor, according to the official X account of the resistance forces.

The 1st Marine Division, supported by military intelligence, carried out the operation after receiving prior intelligence information about the vessel.

A patrol team boarded the ship and escorted it to a secure location for inspection.

The inspection uncovered anti-tank munitions, RPG launchers, sniper rifles, and a large quantity of machine gun belts packed in bags.

The crew was detained, and an investigation is underway to determine the origin and intended destination of the weapons.

Previously, Militarnyi reported that an unidentified group, likely affiliated with the Houthis, had carried out an armed assault on a civilian merchant vessel off the Yemeni coast using small arms and grenade launchers.
