The community of Lviv donated a dozen Leleka-100 reconnaissance drones and other equipment for the soldiers of the 45th Artillery Brigade.

The Brigade’s press service reported on this.

The aerial reconnaissance unit of the 45th Artillery Brigade received a batch of 12 Leleka-100 drones and a UAV ground control station from volunteers.

The total cost of the equipment donated to the military is over UAH 22 million.

Reconnaissance drones of this class play an important role in strikes, as they provide reconnaissance of targets in the current mode and adjust artillery fire, which helps save scarce ammunition.

The Leleka-100 drone is capable of conducting reconnaissance and adjusting fire at a depth of up to 50 km from the front line, operating both day and night. For this purpose, each of the drones is equipped with a day and night video module, additional batteries, and a kit to increase air time.

The system is adapted to work in a complex radio environment, in the mode of the deliberate staging of radio jamming or blocking of satellite navigation systems.

“This interference-resistant Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial vehicle is capable of transmitting information from the battlefield in real-time and helps destroy enemy equipment. At present, the Leleka-100 drone is one of the best reconnaissance drones of the brigade level,” the Come Back Alive Foundation emphasized.

45th Artillery Brigade

Before Russia’s full-scale invasion, the 45th Artillery Brigade was a cadre brigade that was fully deployed only in 2022.

The Artillery Brigade was initially armed with Soviet-era systems, which, however, were gradually replaced by more modern Western-made models. The brigade is known to have used towed 155-mm FH70 and M777 howitzers.

At the end of 2023, the brigade became the only user of Swedish Archer self-propelled guns in the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

It is reported that the soldiers of the 45th Artillery Brigade are currently working in different areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
