During the missile attack on October 10, the enemy used air, sea and land-based missiles, ballistic missiles, anti-aircraft guided missiles, reconnaissance and Shahed-136 kamikazi UAVs.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi published a scheme for missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine on October 10.
Zaluzhnyi emphasized that the air Defense Forces of the Air Force, the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other anti-aircraft units destroyed most of the missiles and ammunition.
“In conditions of such intensity of strikes simultaneously from all directions, they (air defense forces – ed.) demonstrated professionalism and dedication. We are forced to repel these attacks by using Soviet-era weapons, which we also have in insufficient numbers,” Zaluzhnyi emphasized.
The Air Force Command reported that the invaders used Kh-101 and Kh-555 cruise missiles that were launched from eleven Tu-95 and Tu-160 strategic bombers based in the Caspian region.
The invaders also used Kaliber cruise missiles being launched from vessels in the Black Sea. The use of ground-based Iskander systems from different directions was also recorded.
Moreover, the enemy launched missiles from the S-300 SAMs and Tornado-S MLRS.
In total, 84 Russian missiles were fired at the territory of Ukraine, 43 of them were downed. Out of the 24 Russian drones, 13 were shot down.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, as of 21:00 in Ukraine, 1,307 settlements were de-energized due to rocket attacks.
14 people died, 97 people were injured.
It should be reminded that German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said that Ukraine will receive the first of four IRIS-T systems in the coming days.
