The Belarusian Armed Forces have deployed up to seven battalions on the border with Ukraine. Also, the military of Belarus is transferring military equipment closer to the border.

This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Belarus is also continuing to check the combat readiness of troops.

“In the Volyn and Polissya areas, up to seven battalions of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus continue to carry out tasks to strengthen the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Gomel regions,” the statement said.

In addition, Belarus has prolonged the check on the combat readiness of troops until June 18. Until July 8, the closure of airspace over the southern part of Belarus was extended.

“The threat of missile and air strikes from the territory of Belarus is preserved,” the General Staff added.

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reported that Belarus conducts mass military exercises in the Gomel region, where the “transition from peaceful to wartime conditions” is being worked out.

“Within the framework of these military training, issues of organization of protection and defense of military and civilian infrastructure are being worked on, implementation of martial law measures, as well as counteraction to sabotage and intelligence groups also included,” the statement said.

From June 22 to July 1, mobilization exercises with military commissariats are planned in the Gomel region. The training will involve all categories of servicemen, units, military authorities and even conscripts.

From June 28 to July 16, military training with servicemen of the newly created territorial troops is planned to be held in the Zhlobin district of the same Gomel region.

On June 2, the Belarusian Gayun monitoring group reported that the Belarusian military was transferring more than 50 units of military equipment closer to the Volyn region.

Recently, the Belarusian military trained out tasks to overcome the water obstacle in interaction with aviation.
