Unmanned Systems Forces Drones Destroy Imbir Radar in Luhansk Region, Strike Tor SAM System in Donetsk Region

The Unmanned Systems Forces destroyed a Russian 9S19 Imbir radar in the Luhansk region and hit a Tor-M2 air defense system in the Donetsk region.

Unmanned Systems Forces commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi announced this.

The strikes on Russian air defense assets in temporarily occupied territory took place on March 31 and were carried out by operators of the 414th Separate Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces.

The released video footage captures Ukrainian FP-2 drones striking a three-coordinate self-propelled 9S19 Imbir radar station, which is part of the S-300V surface-to-air missile system.

It is designed to detect ballistic, aeroballistic, and cruise missiles, as well as aerodynamic targets, at a range of up to 175 km.

Drone footage shows repeated passes over the target to verify the hit, indicating that the Russian radar was completely destroyed.

In addition, the Birds of Madyar unit struck a Russian Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system that was covering a section of the front line in the Donetsk region.

The Tor-M2 is capable of tracking dozens of targets simultaneously, detecting them at long range, and engaging a wide range of aerial threats.

Russian forces actively use these systems to counter Ukrainian drones, intercept cruise missiles, and protect frontline positions as well as key rear facilities.

Destruction of Russian Air Defense

According to Robert Brovdi, drone operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 41 elements of Russian air defense in March 2026.

In particular, at the end of last month, operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in coordination with the Deep Strike Center, hit a self-propelled launcher of a Buk-M3 air defense system in the Luhansk region.

A few days earlier, soldiers of the Unmanned Systems Forces had targeted two Tor air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territories.
