The PJSC United Aircraft Corporation has delivered a batch of Su-35S fighter jets for the needs of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
The company’s press service reported about this on Telegram.
The batch of two aircraft flew out from the factory airfield in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, which is used by the company for preparatory work and testing of the aircraft it manufactures.
This is the second batch in 2025, and the delivered aircraft are the third and fourth newly built planes handed over to the Russian Aerospace Forces.
It should be noted that the construction of the aircraft is part of a large defense order announced in 2024, aimed at producing Su-35S fighter jets until 2030.
The delivered aircraft have already undergone a full range of tests to confirm their performance and the reliability of their systems.
Until recently, aircraft production was carried out exclusively for the Russian Aerospace Forces; however, according to recent information, aircraft of this type are now also being supplied to Algeria.
As previously reported, confirmation of this purchase came from a video showing a flight of a fighter jet of this type in the sky over Algeria, published by the user Algerian star ship. Additionally, satellite images were released, confirming the deployment of a Su-35S aircraft at the Algerian Air Force airfield.
Discussions about the country’s purchase of Su-35 aircraft began as early as 2016, when Defense Mirror reported that Su-35 fighter jets, which had initially been intended to be purchased by Egypt and later offered to Iran, found a potentially new owner — Algeria.
In addition, as noted by the PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), the factory is currently operating at full capacity, as the company plans to increase the production rate of Su-35S aircraft by 2028, creating a need for more qualified workers.
According to the aircraft delivery schedule for 2024, the Russians have managed to achieve a delivery rate of 2–3 aircraft every 2–3 months.
In addition to the Su-35 fighter jets, UAC is increasing the production rate of Su-57 fighters, which complement the overall fighter fleet of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
