During the de-occupation of the Kherson Region, the Ukrainian military captured the latest Russian АМN-590951 armored vehicle.

Photos of captured vehicles were published on social media.

The Russian-made multi-purpose armored vehicle was first presented to the general public at the Russian military forum “Army” in August this year.

Trophy АМN-590951 is actually an improved version of the VPK-Ural armored vehicle, which was presented in 2019.

Russia claims that the updated version was improved taking into account the experience of the war in Ukraine.

The modernized vehicle received additional engine protection, and its hull is equipped with anti small arms and anti-shrapnel protection.

The armored vehicle can accommodate up to 9 people at a time.

On the roof, the АМN-590951 placed a protected turret with a 12.7mm Kord heavy machine gun.

The developers say that the vehicle is able to withstand an explosion of up to six kilograms of TNT under the bottom.

The total weight of the АМN-590951 is 14.5 tons. The declared maximum speed on the highway is at least 100 km/h, the maximum range reaches 1,000 km.

Moreover, soldiers of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Kherson direction destroyed the Russian Z-STS “Akhmat” armored vehicle, which was created specifically for the war in Ukraine.

The vehicle is made on a serial KamAZ-5350 truck chassis. The armored hull is mounted on the chassis frame. On the roof there is a hatch with a turret for a machine gun or other weapons.
