Soldiers of the 4th Special Purpose Regiment ‘Ranger’ of the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine (SOF) ambushed a Russian vehicle with infantry.

The press service of the SOF released the video.

It is reported that the ambush was organized on a Russian all-terrain vehicle with six infantrymen on board.

According to the footage released, the Russians stopped in the middle of the field, which suggests that this was due to a close call with a drone or fire contact.

The Russian infantry hastened off the all-terrain vehicle and tried to hide behind it.

A group of Ukrainian soldiers was in a nearby forest and opened fire on the Russians with small arms.

As a result of a small arms battle and a kamikaze drone attack, our fighters managed to completely destroy the enemy group.

After completing the combat mission, a group of soldiers of the 4th Special Purpose Regiment ‘Ranger’ withdrew without losses.

On October 28, Militarnyi reported that soldiers of the Ukrainian ‘Ranger’ Regiment have been equipped with modernized infantry fighting vehicles, armored Humvees, and other vehicles.

The unit’s assault subunits have received a modernized infantry fighting vehicle, BMP-1, with a Ukrainian-made Sich remote weapon station. It is fully automated, equipped with a stabilizer and a modern thermal imaging sight.

The ‘Ranger’ Corps

Formed as part of the Special Operations Forces, the ‘Ranger’ Corps specializes in reconnaissance, assault operations, and raids behind enemy lines.

For this purpose, it is mostly equipped with appropriate, highly mobile wheeled vehicles.

Russian sources say that Ranger units took part in repelling the summer Russian offensive in the north of the Kharkiv region, as well as in the Kursk operation.

It is known that the corps consists of 4 regiments and a command.
